  • What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear comfortable, clean clothes. You will be required to keep your underwear on during your treatment or expected to wear disposable underwear, as provided. Please discuss this with your therapist before your treatment.

It is preferred that you do not book your appointment straight from sport, gym or manual work as a shower facility is NOT available to clients and you may be turned away if you have arrived to your appointment in such a manner.

  • Are you wheelchair accessible?

Although our treatment room in the North Lakes clinic is located on the ground floor, special access will be required so please advise your therapist at the time of booking so that this can be arranged for you.

Please note the option to have the therapist visit you in your home or workplace is also available, a small surcharge applies for mobile bookings.

  • How long is my treatment?

Please arrive 5 minutes before your treatment start time, so that you can receive the entire length of your booking time. Please note that although some time is allocated between bookings, for the comfort of all clients and safety for the therapist, the entrance to the clinic will not be accessible more than 5 mins before your appointment time.

  • How can I find the clinic?

Calming Concepts address is Unit 1, 69 Pademelon Circuit. Here is a link to GoogleMaps

From Bounty Boulevard, take Wombat Parade. Follow the two chicanes through until you reach a left hand bend onto Pademelon Circuit, turn here and then immediately turn right onto Pademelon Circuit again. The clinic is number 69, on the right of the street, under the streetlight. Unit 1 is the left-hand side unit. Please park on the street, being mindful of neighbours driveways.

  • Can I bring my child with me?

The Calming Concepts Clinic is a home-based clinic, however children under 5 years old are unable to attend your appointment without the supervision of a teen or older sibling or another adult present. Calming Concepts cannot assure the safety of children under 5 years old during your treatment. It is advised that if you cannot provide alternative arrangements for your child(ren) that you have your appointment in your own home. Please see available suburbs and pricing here.

  • Can I purchase a Gift Certificate?

Yes, click here to see the available online Gift Certificates, or visit the clinic to pick up a personalised printed voucher.

  • Can I cancel my appointment?

Your appointment time is held for you exclusively with a booking deposit. Should you need to cancel, you will be refunded your deposit up to 48hrs prior to your appointment time.

After this time, it is at the discretion of the therapist to be able to reschedule you and rollover your booking deposit. If insufficient notice is provided, your booking deposit may be held as a fee.

If you find you are unable to attend your appointment at short notice, please advise your therapist by calling 0413298930.

  • What if I am running late?

If you are running only a few mins late, your therapist should be able to extend your booking start time to allow you the full treatment time. However if you arrive more than 15mins late, your appointment will be shortened to ensure the rest of the day’s bookings are not delayed. It is imperative that you phone the clinic as soon as possible to advise the therapist if you are running late. Ph 0413298930.

  • Something has come up?

Calming Concepts understands that life happens, things come up and throw a spanner in the works. Should this happen on the day of your appointment, please phone your therapist to advise. Ph 0413298930.

However, if you do not arrive to your appointment within 15mins of the start time and are not reachable by phone, your therapist will mark your appointment as a no-show. No-Show or Same-Day Cancellations (excluding emergencies and extenuating circumstances) will be billed the entire treatment cost via the credit card on file, with exceptions only at the therapist’s discretion.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, avoid the full treatment fee by:

    • phoning your therapist,
    • rescheduling your appointment to another time (prior to the day of your booking),
    • sending someone in your place to take up the same treatment you have booked OR
    • purchase the remaining value of the treatment as a gift certificate to use at a later time.
